Meet the dentists

Dr. Zahra Remtulla

Dr. Zahra Remtulla first completed a Bachelors Degree at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery at McGill University in 1997. Upon completion of her degree, through the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry, she then embarked upon a General Practice Residency at Sunnybrook Hospital, where she was actively involved in the treatment of medically compromised patients with specific medical needs.

Dr. Darren Kerbel

Dr. Darren C. Kerbel graduated from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Dentistry in 1986. He has been serving the community of Markham for over 18 years in all facets of dental care. He is a member of the Crown and Bridge Study Club which focuses on reconstructive dentistry  such as crowns, bridges, implants, and cosmetic procedures such as veneers and bonding.

He also enjoys treating children and strives to make their dental experiance an unstressful one.

Dr. Kerbel's pastimes include heli-skiing and golf.

Dr. Sajal Patel

Dr. Sajal Patel was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta.  She attended the University of Alberta and graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor’s in Science in the Honors Biochemistry Program and received the Dean’s Silver Medal in Science.  Dr. Patel continued her education at the University of Alberta in the Doctor of Dental Surgery Program, which she completed in 2006, and graduated on the Dean’s Honor List.  During her academic education, she received various awards and scholarships, including the Alberta Dental Association Professional Award and the American Academy of Dental Practice Award.  Furthermore, Dr. Patel was a prominent member of the Dental Students’ Association, she was the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry’s student representative on the Academics Standings Committee, and volunteered her time at the dental clinic reserved for street youth.
